DR. Todd Cunningham, C.PSYCH.
CEO & HEAD OF RESEARCH
Dr. Todd Cunningham is the CEO and Head of Research at Learn Different, an educational initiative dedicated to bridging research and practice to support students with learning differences. Under his leadership, Learn Different develops evidence-based assessment tools, educator training, and interventions that promote inclusive learning. His recent work focuses on partnering with Indigenous communities to design culturally appropriate benchmarking tools and teacher resources that foster equity in education.
Dr. Cunningham is also the Founder and Practice Supervisor of Bright Lights Psychology, where he leads a team providing psychoeducational assessments and therapy for children and youth with learning disabilities, attention challenges, and mental health concerns. A registered school and clinical psychologist in Ontario, he is an Associate Professor (Teaching Stream) and Chair of the School and Clinical Child Psychology program at the University of Toronto. He has delivered more than 600 presentations and workshops internationally, contributes to provincial and national guidelines on learning disability assessment, and serves on the Learning Disability Association of Ontario board.
